Cake Information

Sugar Moon cakes are baked, just for you, from scratch using high quality ingredients, yielding far more than a feast for the eyes. The quality and flavors far exceed any store bought experience. Because of this, it is difficult to provide standard pricing and your price will vary according to the flavour of cake and filling that is chosen, as well as the design that is requested. This being said, you can expect creation to start at $3.00 per serving. Please note that due to the time and attention given to each cake, a minimum of $100 will apply.

Suggested Combinations – these are just a few Brenda recommends!

PASSION - indulgently sinful chocolate cake with candied pink rose buttercream filling
RED VELVET - classic red velvet cake with cream cheese filling
MEXICAN CHOCOLATE - moist chocolate cake spiced with ginger, cayenne and cumin filled with espresso buttercream
COCONUT DREAM - rich pound cake loaded with toasted coconut, filled with a chocolate coconut buttercream

Icing
Cakes are typically covered in Sugar Moon’s own “melt in your mouth” fondant, buttercream may be used but artistic freedom is limited. Depending on the style, royal icing, buttercream and/or fondant may also be used for additional decoration. Although my buttercream and fondant are classically flavoured I can always customize them if you have a specific flavour in mind. Please note my fresh fondant is made from scratch (not marshmallows!). Many people prefer this over the pre-packaged, play-dough tasting fondant you might be familiar with.
